The 23-year-old Soler won the queen stage at the Route du Sud this year, and finished the race as best young rider and second overall, behind his team’s leader Nairo Quintana. He also finished second in the KOM competition there, and is expected to be a future Grand Tour contender for the team using his climbing skills.

24-year-old German Sütterlin is a strong time trialist who was second to Tony Martin at the German national championship this year. He also finished sixth at the UCI World Championship time trial.

The team said it uses his strong engine on the front for the long kilometres into the wind, and he will again target time trial stages.
