Oleg Tinkoff, not one to shy away from the spotlight, told the media at the Tour de France that if Peter Sagan wins two more stages he will remain involved in cycling.

“[He is] the biggest star of cycling, the biggest star of the cycling peloton,” Tinkoff said about Sagan. “He is not only a strong rider, but also an advertisement for his sport.”

Tinkoff said earlier this year that he is shuttering his team at the end of this season.

“The sport of cycling really needs guys like him. [Chris] Froome is fantastic, but as far as looks, charisma and entertainment, he does not come near Sagan.”
