Research study on ‘race weight’ seeking participants

by CyclingTips

Researchers from the Australian Catholic University are currently seeking male racers (over 18 years old) to participate in a research project about ‘race weight’.

It will involve taking a short, online questionnaire designed to examine the thoughts, feelings and practices of the peloton when trying to reach a certain bodyweight to improve their performance.

This project comes off the back of a similar study completed in female racers, which found some telling results, including the most common weight-loss technique as reduced energy intake.
