Rider threatened with a hatchet near Adelaide

Video has emerged of a rider in Australia being threatened by a motorist with a hatchet. The road race incident occurred east of Adelaide on Tuesday, at the intersection of Magill Road and Glynburn Road just before midday.

The video, obtained by 7 News, shows the motorist walking towards the cyclist and hitting his bike with the blunt side of the hatchet. He hits the saddle and the rear wheel, and continues towards the rider, who backs away.

Nobody was injured. The video has been forwarded to police.
