Popular bicycle rack manufacturer RockyMounts has announced a voluntary recall of its SplitRail and MonoRail hitch models, due to a potential welding defect in some samples built between January 2016 and August 2017. Both 1 1/4in and 2in models are included in the recall.
Affected rack bases will be unlabeled, but updated rack bases with “Rev. H”, “Rev. I”, or “Rev. J,” labeling have been designated as safe to use. Replacement bases will be provided free of charge.
