Sale of Niner Bikes closes, Huffy’s parent company is the buyer

UWHK Ltd (formally known as Emersion Internations) have acquired the Niner Bikes business as of late last week for an undisclosed amount. UWHK is a Hong-Kong based investment firm and the majority shareholder in Huffy Corp.

Niner Bikes will remain based in Fort Collins, Colorado and be led by brand co-founder Chris Sugai. All existing staff are said to be continuing, with plans for expansion in marketing and engineering.

A press release from Niner states “We will be able to invest in more R&D…which means more fun toys down the line! There will not be any personnel changes, we will continue using the same vendors and no one is moving.”

“We are committed to sales through specialty retailers and will soon roll out new dealer programs. We want to make it easier for shops to do business with us. Growth in international distribution is another priority.”
