Second on Tuesday, Groupama-FDJ rider Marc Sarreau (Groupama-FDJ) was best on day two of the Circuit Cycliste Sarthe in France. The Frenchman beat Alex Frame (Trek-Segafredo), Manuel Belletti (Androni Giocattoli-Sidermec) and over 60 others to the line in Ancenis.
Tuesday’s winner Justin Jules (WB Aqua Protect Veranclassic) was only 14th and as a result, loses the race lead. Sarreau is now at the top of the GC list, with Jules six seconds back and Mattia Frapporti (Androni Sidermec – Bottecchia) a further two seconds behind.
