Nikolay Mihaylov wins Sibiu Cycling Tour

by CyclingTips

Davide Vigano (Androni Sidermec) won the final stage of the Sibiu Cycling Tour, while Nikolay Mihaylov (CCC Sprandi Polkowice) clinched the overall victory.

The main breakaway split halfway through the stage with Gianfranco Zilioli (Nippo – Vini Fantini) and Marco Tizza (d’Amico – Bottecchia) going on their own on the fifth climb.

The two held a gap for more than 50km but were caught on the final climb of the day at 10km to go. Zilioli was the last to be caught and crashed on the top of the climb.

After the descent it was a setup for a field sprint, with Androni Sidermec controlling the front for Vigano.
