Sinead O’Connor missing after leaving for bike ride

by CyclingTips

Singer-songwriter Sinead O’Connor has been reported missing in Wilmette, a northern suburb of Chicago, after she departed for a bicycle ride early Sunday morning.

Local police are not commenting but an alert issued classified her as “missing suicidal.” She was last seen on a Raleigh motorized bicycle with a pink basket while wearing a black parka, black leather pants and a sweatshirt with “Ireland” written on it.

According to her Facebook page, about three hours after she was last seen according to the alert, she posted a long message that was unclear and confusing. It was reported she had medical treatment last November after leaving a suicide note for her family.

She has posted publicly about her battle with depression for many years.

Updated: O’Connor was found later on Monday at an area hotel.
