Team Sunweb unveils new kit

by CyclingTips

Team Sunweb unveiled its 2017 team kit Thursday, and for the first time in the history of the team all the riders — men, women and development riders — will wear the same jersey.

“We are proud to present our new outfit for 2017 with our new title sponsor Sunweb,” CEO Iwan Spekenbrink said. “We are pleased to have received our distinctive two-strip design, which represents our deeply rooted ‘Keep Challenging’ approach.

“For the team members, the importance of the two strips goes far beyond a design element on a jersey. One of the strips stands for the constant development of the athletes, while the second strip represents the steady development of the science and technology environment in the team.

“Together, the two strips form the ‘Keep Challenging’ strategy, which the team has committed from the outset and has been the driving force behind our growth since the first day.”

The mostly-white kit with red elements is a reverse from the predominantly black version, but fans should be able to easily identify the team in the peloton.
