The Mt. Fuji stage of the Tour of Japan

The Mt. Fuji stage of the Tour of Japan has a reputation for being brutally hard, despite being extremely short for a road stage. As just 11.4km in length, the stage takes less than 40 minutes to complete, but with an average gradient of 10%, it’s a tremendously difficult climb.
