UAE Team Emirates extends with Marcato, Conti and five others

by VeloClub

The UAE Team Emirates squad has announced contract extensions with seven riders, bringing their contracts up until the end of 2019. Marco Marcato, Valerio Conti and Simone Consonni already had deals for next season, and have been given a one year extension.

Matteo Bono, Kristijan Durasek, Roberto Ferrari and Simone Petilli have signed up for a further two years past the end of this season.

“We are continuing to move forward with the goal of building a formation that can be increasingly competitive,” said the team manager Carlo Saronni. “In order to achieve certain objectives we want to build the team roster around a solid base.

“The seven riders whose contracts have been renewed or extended have proven to have the right skills suited to our project and to the values that comprise it. We are happy to be able to include them in our group once more.”
