Van der Haar to return at Heusden-Zolder

by CyclingTips

Lars Van der Haar (Giant-Alpecin) will make his return to racing at the World Cup in Heusden-Zolder on Monday, following time away to recover from injury.

“I’ve had a rough couple of weeks behind me, but I’m glad I can ride races again,” he told Sporza. “Monday I will focus not on the result, but rather my goal to finish the race.”

Van der Haar has been dealing with a lingering hamstring injury, which delayed the start of his season.

He will be moving to Sven Nys’ Telenet-Fidea team on January 1 and wanted to get back to racing before that.

“It will be a nice end of my time at Giant-Alpecin and I can start in January with a clean slate.”
