I’ll admit that at first I was skeptical. A heavy, quilted vest made of merino wool and windproof panels?! When would I ever need something that substantial?
As it turns out…All. The. Time.
Paired with jeans and a t-shirt or with winter tights and a wool jersey, Velocio’s quilted RECON vest has been my go-to item all year long, both on and off the bike.
With a slightly longer tail, rear pocket, a more relaxed yet athletic fit and windproof panels, the vest is ride-ready for whenever the temperatures call for more than just a wind gilet.
A great fit, on and off the bike.
Velocio’s commitment to the finer details is apparent in the off-center, two-way zipper and the loop on the back intended for a rear light.
But what sets this product apart is its versatility. Highly functional yet fashionable, the RECON vest looks great off the bike as well, whether you’re out on a hike or out on the town.
At $279.00 USD it’s a steep price but, given its versatility, you will only need one vest in your wardrobe!
Why I like it so much: Warm, comfortable and highly function item that’s stylish enough to be worn off the bike.
Price: USD $1279, AUD $199.95
