Winning his second national road race title was a happy moment for New Zealand’s Jason Christie, but his actions immediately after the finish line have attracted criticism. Christie raised his arms, then raised his middle fingers to his breakaway companions, yelling ‘suckers’ at them. Former pro Julian Dean is one of those who has questioned the gesture, Tweeting ‘Honestly????’ as a response.
