Von Hoff sprints to stage win in Sibiu Cycling Tour

by CyclingTips

Steele Von Hoff (One Pro Cycling) won the field sprint on the first road stage of the Sibiu Cycling Tour, taking over the general classification lead.

Davide Vigano (Androni Giocattoli – Sidermec) and Filippo Fortin (GM Europa Ovini) rounded out the podium.

A four-rider break consisted of Emil Dam Sørensen (Team Soigneur – CPC), Luis Mora (Area Zero D’Amico), Daniel Crista (Cycling Team Tusnad) and Daniel Turek (Cycling Academy).

Turek attacked out of the main breakaway to try for the solo win, but was caught only 3km from the finish.

However, he took enough points on the KOM climbs to take the climber’s jersey as consolation.
