Back in April, French cyclist Yoann Offredo (Wanty Groupe-Gobert) posted photos to social media saying he’d been the victim of an assault in an altercation with the driver of a car.
“Result: a fractured nose, a rib in a dirty state and bruises all over the body,” he wrote at the time. “But beyond physical wounds, I am especially shocked.”
It would seem that Offredo might not have been telling the full story. Last week a court in Evry ordered Offredo to pay €700 in fines and damages after the judge found that Offredo had assaulted both the driver of the car and the passenger. The driver of the vehicle was fined the same amount.
