Kate Courtney is a professional cross-country mountain-bike racer for the Specialized Factory Team and is the 2018 Elite XC World champion. In 2017, she won four U23 World Cups and the U23 World Cup overall title, and took a silver medal at the U23 world championship. In May 2018, she had her first top-10 finish in an elite XC World Cup. She is also a two-time XC national champion, winning the US title in 2017 and 2018. Off the bike, she’s a self-described “huge nerd” with a degree in human biology from Stanford University.
